On the down side though, as predicted, my three year old iPod's battery is close to death. I frankly might as well use it as a home-bound music store and buy one of the smaller ones for my daily music needs (not that I'd be able to use it for a while anyway, since I'm having a my ear sawn off in two weeks.)
In the meantime, I'm giving you this (disfunctional) family photo taken the other day.

You have so much power now, Mister, even if it's immobile. My MacBook died twice in six month after purchase. I'm kind of prepared for the eventuality again. It would be a nice surprise if my machine survived without crashes for another few months. If it does not, I guess I'll really have to begin asking for reparations in the form of a MacBookPro.
Wow, it does seem that MacBooks are more vulnerable that MacBookPros. I've started backing up much more often now, as if certain that it will crash again. As for the immobility, that's the other strange thing. The battery came back to life too. Also, it's a really small, thing, but the paint work on the hand rests at the edge of the Apple key, space bar and arrows has flaked off, and the opening button too. I just don't expect that kind of little shit to happen, you know? I might as well get them to change it while I'm in hospital.
